Why is important for the body to precisely adjust the cardiac output?

Answer:
cardiac output is determined by heart rate multiplied by stroke volume (the volume being expelled by each beat of the heart). so you can see that the CO can be regulated two ways- by changing the rate the heart is beating as well as be changing how hard it's pumping.regulation of CO is important because sometimes our body needs extra blood flow. for instance, with strenuous physical exertion, your muscles need extra oxygen and nutrients. the heart automatically does that for you.
CO is important in the regulation of blood pressure.
