Why haven't either of the sleeping pills I've tried worked?

I've been taking Rozerem for several weeks now, and it doesn't put me to sleep. The same thing happened with Lunesta. I never changed either dose 2mg for Lunesta, 8 mg for Rozerem. My sleep never really improved, could something else be wrong?
Answer:
Hi. Do you exercise? Drink coffee or caffeinated drinks? If so then stop drinking them and walk more. Sleep is natural and should not require a pill.
sleeping pill good for me ..
Not all drugs work on all people. I used to work the grave shift and needed to sleep during the day, but I don't like prescriptions. I used Melatonin and Calcium, and it worked like a charm. I took one Melatonin pill for every 4 hours of sleep I needed, so 2 pills. Then I took a big 600?mg calcium pill. They are both vitamins and make you tired. The melatonin gives you a tan too, but it can cause depression. It worked for me.
If you've been taking it for over 8 weeks with no results Then, It's due to habituation. Your nerves get used to a certain stimuli. Be it Physical or Chemical as in your case with Lunesta and Rozerem compunds. The same thing hapens to drug addicts and smokers. Maybe you need to incease the dosage. Obviously caffeine disrupts sleep. So, you already know that you shouldn't drink coffe, colas or eat choclates at least 6 hours before bedtime. Don't forget that your pituitary gland and the production of the hormone melatonin is involved in sleep. Light stimulates the production of melatonin. So, you need to see some sun light to stimulate the pituitary gand to produce melatonin.
